A Public Event on Valentine's day
On the 13th of February, there is a public event in Stone Par
k for lovers. There is a performance on the stage. In addition, if lovers want to take boats in Qinhuai River, several boats are provided on the Qinhuai River.
I go to Stone Park with my parents. We arrived at the Stone Park at 8:40pm on the 13th of February. I go to the Stone Park because the park is near my home and I read the information about the event in the newspaper 6 hours before. We also can go for a walk and get enough oxygen.
Valentine's Day is a special day for all the lovers around the world. Lovers will show their love to their loves, they get together and do some romantic things. Loves look forward to the coming of Valentine's Day. I see there are almost one hundred couples come. They all hold hands and with happy
smile on their faces. Some of the couples also take their children there; let them know some of the information about love. The hosts of the event ask many question about the Valentine's day, such as where and when were the Valentine's day set up, what traditional ways do lovers go on Valentine's day, why were the purpose of the setting of Valentine's day? If the audience answers correctly, he can get a present from host. After finishing question part, I have known much information about the Vale
ntine's Day. Then, some pretty women and handsome men perform on the stage; they use their riveting songs and attractive dance to show their love and thanks to their lovers. I clap and cheer for them. I feel so excited, I am proud of them.
Then, I take photos for my parents in that romantic atmosphere. They have been married for almost 20 years. How exciting! I need to follow them and love my lovers forever in the future. It is too late to take boats, so we just take photos in front of the b
oats. I love the event and enjoy it very much.
In the end of the show, host gives each person a present, some people have sweets, and some people have candles. This event can give people much information about Valentine's Day; we can know the settings of Valentine's Day. We also can feel the romantic atmosphere and everybody feels relaxed and happy. I hope next year this event can be also held in Stone Park.

The fashion show
The fashion show was held at 6:00pm on the 27th of April in courtyard in GCA. 
I went there with my classmates; we had dinner together and then went to the fashion show together at the same time. We arrived there at 6:10pm. I chose this performance because I think it is so fun to see our friends dressing themselves and being models in front of the whole GCA. In fashion show, I saw the wonderful clothes made by our students. In addition, we gathered together to see a show and went into the hilarious atmosphere. We could talk with each other and took ph
otos for others. It was meaningful to go.
I designed the clothes for our art teacher Ms. Hadley. She looks very attractive and charming. She wore a suit of green dress. She chose the color green by herself because she hoped to be natural. She looks very calm and purity on the stage. Green color fits her very well. I designed and made the clothes 2 weeks before. I put many efforts in designing and painting; I found many different information from magazines and on the internet. At last, I have succeeded. The style of this suit is also fancy. After the show, Ms. Hadley tol
d me that many people praised her clothes and she said she was lucky in our group. I felt so glad to say commendation and thought it was meaningful to put efforts in clothes.
When I saw the models with colorful clothes, I yelled, cheered and took out my camera at once to take pretty photos for them. I admired the models very much. They were out-going and they weren’t shy. The models showed their attractive clothes by walking on the catwalk along the wonderful stage. They were the most beautiful models in my heart. As a result, I felt very happy and excited. Some models wore the style of Chinese, some models wear the style of Korean, and some models wear the style of western dress and jeans. They all looked very cool, it shows the cultures of different places, and we can know the styles of clothes and know their aesthetic perception.
Throughout the fashion show, I can find out there are different styles of clothes and different styles showing the different aesthetic perception of different people. It stands for colorful cultures around the world. We have to know much cultures of clothes as we can. Otherwise, we can’t follow fashion trends.

The Chicken Temple
Today is the 1st of March; we arrive at the Chicken Temple at
12:00 am. The Chicken Temple is in north of XuanW
u lake. I go there with my classmates Ada. We choose this particular religion because it is so close to our school, we go there convenient, and it is also convenient to on foot to there. In addition, the emperor is a famous place to go; it is one of places of interests.
The Chicken Temple is a Buddhist resort. It was built in XiJin dynasty. Kang Xi emperor had visited here and wrote down four words” the old Chicken Temple”. There are many sculptures of Kwan-yin. The Kwan-yin faced different directions, it means that they wish all the people that live different place
s can be happy and achieve lots of love. They bless the visitors to be healthy, do not have disasters, do everything successful, and achieve love that belong to them. I go there to see the sculptures and take notes about the history and some information about the religions of Buddhism.
I asked a monk in the Nanjing University about their lives. He told me though the administration in temple is strict, he feels comfortable. He said they have very strict schedules to do every thing, they must get up, learn to burn incense and pray, and then they have lunch. They usually don't eat meat; they usually eat rice and vegetables. In the afternoon, we must learn knowledge and write articles every day. They need to study Chinese, math, English and Culture. They can’t spend much time on amusement; they have tasks to do every day. They promise not to get married in the future, so they can put all of the efforts in studying knowledge and focus on researching.
I know much information about the monks, the temple and the Buddhism. I know there are so many places of interests of Buddhism in China. We need to protect them. We need to be responsible for different religions, and we need to know much information about different religions as we can.
